Slipperfields Country Estate is a wedding and function venue situated at the foothills of the Lady Slipper Mountain, just outside Port Elizabeth. Media Axis designed and built the Slipperfields website in early 2011, shortly after the venue was established.
Jana Rademeyer (who owns and runs Slipperfields), had a vision to create a venue that would appeal to the modern bride. In order to reach her target market, she realized that she would need to establish an online presence.
The Slipperfields website has been designed to reflect the classic country elegance of the venue, and to show off the versatility of the facilities, through a range of photographs of real weddings. In order to attract prospective brides to the website, Jana has been utilizing Facebook as a marketing tool and is encouraged by the results, “When I look at our Facebook hits and link between our website and other social media sites, I am 100% convinced that it plays the biggest role in terms of marketing.”
Jana also says that she often receives compliments on the website, and attributes the fact that the Slipperfields social media is linked to the website as a contributing factor to the appeal, as content is always fresh and relevant, “We constantly update photos and promos on our facebook page. Social media is part of everyday life, and we aim to give daily snippets of info to prospective clients.”
With 75% of clients finding Slipperfields through the internet, it is no wonder that this business has placed emphasis on their online marketing.
